Solange On Instagram Pt. 3

My last installment of Solange on Instagram. I honestly had alot of fun making these. Solange is such an inspirational care free black women she gives off such inspirational vibes. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. xoxo

Solange On Instagram Pt.2

Second installment of Solange on Instagram. She has a son named Daniel. I have no idea where they were in the picture but this is my favorite picture on her Instagram. The colors are just breathtaking. This is the second of a three part installment to the series of Solange on Instagram.

Solange On Instagram Pt. 1

Very big fan of Solange Knowles. Recently I've been inspired by her instagram page. I love the consistency she hold with the vibrant pastel colors while including her interests and family. This is the first installment of three. Hope you Enjoy :)

Game Over

So the final version is in the middle! I decided that I wanted to play a little with the setting in after effects and I created a sorta glitch for the last one.

Old But Subltle

A drawing I did a while back. I was looking through my old sketchbooks and found it and remembered how impressed I was with myself to actually draw a body since at the time I only knew how to draw flowers. There wasn't much I wanted to change within the drawing as I felt it was very special flaws and all, however, I still wanted to play around with After Effects so if you look close enough you'll see the lines are moving in a very subtle like manner. Hope you Enjoy :)

Desert Skies

I've been playing with effects within After Effects and I've found it to be a huge learning experience so far. I didn't want to go to far with any effects so I decided to just try out a few on this animation. As far as the quality of the animation goes, to me it looks a little blurry and pixelated in some frames. I've tried so many techniques to stop this from happening but nothing seems to be working. I'm thinking its the frames per second and the set quality given to gifs in adobe programs that's messing it up sometimes. So hopefully I can fix this with a plug-in but in the meantime please enjoy this practice animation. I tried to make it a tiny bit interesting to the eye while still benefitting my main purpose for it.

Meet Eric

Meet Eric The Bunny
I've decided to start a short series around Eric and his friends. This is just a little preview of him. He's been on my mind alot. I wanted to create a character I could practice with and that was very versatile in its movement and facial expressions. So expect to see more of Eric! I'm still working on increasing the quality within other blog formats as there are limits in MB within them. But other then that I've been drawing everyday and working at a good pace within my animations so I should be putting out more constantly. I hope you enjoy :)

Where To Next?

So after my last post on how I'm aiming to change the overall look of my animation I wanted to share what has put me in this mindset. Various shows and sources of this will be displayed throughout this post, none of which are mine.
The main inspiration for my change comes from the show "The Amazing World of Gumball."
I want my animations to improve to look not exactly like this show but pretty close to it. I enjoy the show for the humor but even more for the landscape of the characters and the different technique used to make each character. The background is always a real world setting and I love it. It reminds me of the time Cartoon Network aired these shorts of various cartoon characters in real world settings. The various facial expressions of all the characters in the show intrigue me as well. Always changing but still hold the same cute approach to it. Theres alot about this show I love basically and its hard to point out exactly what I like but to round it up I watch this show whenever I'm bored or have an idea block.
As a mentioned in the post before this one, I bring some of my inspiration from Blues Clues as well. This is done specifically because of the added texture I noticed throughout the show. Sometimes Blue and his friends look like out cutouts from hard paper and sometimes they look like not yet sewn down embroidery. The show reminded me to push for detail in things I'd never think would be able to be shown perfectly like a wrinkle in a dress or a puddle in a street or even a stray hair blowing in the wind.
Lastly, Neon Lights. The thought of a light on a street sign trying its best not to go out made me think about time and how its uncontrollable. Therefore things like flickering lights cannot hold a specific timed pattern on when it flickers or how bright it becomes at moments. It's hard to explain but the thought of lights makes me realize I can't make make everything a motion event if I want it to be realistic.
To sum this up, I want my projects to take a more mature approach in its story-lines, landscaping, characters, and movement. Hopefully I can achieve this soon. I hope you enjoyed reading. Thank-you and stay tuned!

Bad Summer Day

Hey again, I've decided to shift my approach on the characters I make and the landscape around them. A majority of my previous animations carried no shadows, faces, detailed background nor detailed movement. In this animation, I'm trying to incorporate all of that little by little. With the texture from her dress, to the slight bouncing movement in her sleeve and hair, and finally to her steps taken by running. Although this animation did disappointment me a little as it did not come out the way I expected it to be, I have however felt that it was a great way to experiment with the different properties I plan to set in place with future animation. The landscaping of this animation was inspired by a an episode of Blue's Clues believe it or not! I was watching reruns with my little sister and I loved how every object in the show looked like an embroidery design not yet sewn down. I hope you Enjoy!
